sneakyf1shy's apple intelligence tutorial

the sneakyf1shy apple intelligence tutorial v2.0

Warning

This is patched as of iOS/iPadOS 18.1 DevBeta 5. If you want to follow this, stay on Beta 4.

This actually downloads the models, and is NOT just new SiriUI. Hence, this process is complex and probably not worth it.

⚠️ Prepare to be disappointed and annoyed, and have your time wasted! ⚠️

  • What does not work: Writing Tools, Memories, Reduce Interruptions, Image Eraser and other tools that are within official Apple Intelligence on supported devices.

ProxMox Cluster - Soup-to-Nutz

aka what i did to get from nothing to done.

note: these are designed to be primarily a re-install guide for myself (writing things down helps me memorize the knowledge), as such don't take any of this on blind faith - some areas are well tested and the docs are very robust, some items, less so). YMMV

Purpose of Proxmox cluster project

Required Outomces of cluster project

  • Panoramix is probably the most well-known one thanks to etherscan.io integrating it. It'll return "python-like" code that is actually quite nice to read. Unfortunately it often ends up having "timeouts" causing the decompiled code to just abruptly stop.
  • Dedaub's Decompiler is my personal favorite. When it produces something, it does produce "solidity-like" code that is well readable. But sometimes it just fails to yield anything at all. And even when it does work it struggles whenever memory handling gets involved, requiring some educated guessing.
  • ethervm.io's Decompiler is another online service which similar to Panoramix always delivers a result, but it also has the tendency to skip big parts of the code due to "could not resolve jump destination" errors and the like.
  • Heimdall does not have an online s

Great and less great SSDs for Ethereum nodes

Overview

Syncing an Ethereum node is largely reliant on latency and IOPS, I/O Per Second, of the storage. Budget SSDs will struggle to an extent, and some won't be able to sync at all. IOPS can roughly be used as proxy of / predictor for latency. Measuring latency directly is arguably better.

This document aims to snapshot some known good and known bad models.

The drive lists are ordered by interface and then by capacity and alphabetically by vendor name, not by preference. The lists are not exhaustive at all. @mwpastore linked a filterable spreadsheet in comments that has a far greater variety of drives and their characteristics. Filter it by DRAM yes, NAND Type TLC, Form Factor M.2, and desired capacity.

For size, 4TB is a very conservative choice. The smaller 2TB drive should last an Ethereum full node until at least sometime 2026, with the [pre-merge history expiry](https://hackmd.io/@hBXHLw_9Qq2va4pRt

Create exFat Partiion in Linux Accessible to Windows / MacOS

To create a exFat partition which is compatible with all operating systems, I recommend using a drive with under 2TB. This will allow you to use an MBR partition table instead of GPT, I've had issues mounting GPT exFat drives in Windows.
This could be partially because I don't know how to Windows anything.

List Disks

fdisk -l

Mine for example is /dev/sdl, because I have many disks.
