You can use static

The most known hack is to edit ~/.ssh/config
and use a different hostname in place of github.com for each account. (ref this gist)
However, one might still want to use github.com as a hostname for various reasons. Hence this hack idea I had.
This may vary depending on the distribution, but for ubuntu or any given useradd :
# useradd -r -m -d /opt/git git

If you're encountering ping github.com
failing inside WSL with a Temporary failure in name resolution
, you're not alone — this has been a long-standing issue, especially when using VPNs or corporate networks.
This issue is now fixed robustly with DNS tunneling, which preserves dynamic DNS behavior and avoids limitations like WSL’s former hard cap of 3 DNS servers in /etc/resolv.conf
.
DNS tunneling is enabled by default in WSL version 2.2.1 and later, meaning that if you're still seeing DNS resolution issues, the first and most effective fix is simply to upgrade WSL. Upgrading WSL updates the WSL platform itself, but does not affect your installed Linux distributions, apps, or files.
To upgrade WSL, follow these steps,
<?php | |
use PhpCsFixer\Config;
use PhpCsFixer\Finder;
$rules = [ | |
'array_indentation' => true,
'array_syntax' => ['syntax' => 'short'],
'binary_operator_spaces' => [
'default' => 'single_space', |
There are numerous reasons you may need to use multiple SSH keys for accessing GitHub and BitBucket
You may use the same computer for work and personal development and need to separate your work.
When acting as a consultant, it is common to have multiple GitHub and/or BitBucket accounts depending on which client you may be working for.
You may have different projects you're working on where you would like to segregate your access.
