Note:
- For a number of restaurants here you might have to book a long time in advance. You've been warned.
- Many restaurants in France offer a different menu for lunch and dinner. Also, the "daily suggestions" can be pretty fresh!
- We don't eat in restaurants every day in France, so restaurants here are not necessarily very healthy :D (be ready for entree-plat-dessert formulas (starter/main/dessert) with cheese between the main and dessert)
OK here's the list:
- Bouchon Tupin: I go there for Lunch every time I visit Lyon.
- Le Bouchon des Cordeliers: similar to Bouchon Tupin, great food, debatable which one is better!
- Brasserie Gabriel: kind of like a modern bouchon (like the other two), great food! But it's open outside lunch/dinner so it's practical as well.
- Culina Hortus: vegetarian restaurant from the owners of Victoire et Thomas. You most likely need to book months in advance
- PY Restaurant
- Sapnà
- Prairial
- Agastache: Great menu. I haven't tried this restaurant for dinner but I probably should.
- Arsenic: They change their menu all the time, and everything's good there. It is possible that this restaurant is also very good for dinner.
- L'argot: a butcher that transforms into a steak house for 2 days per week. Usually you have to book months in advance.
Extra:
- Engimono: if you're craving Chinese food, that's the place.
- Tomo: if you're looking for Japanese food, that's the place.
- Mariller les saveurs: get EVERYTHING. They also have the best cookies in the world.
- Pavlovas par Joël Maier: get the big Pavlovas
- Pralus: chocolate and, of course, their signature brioche de praline
- Miss Madeleine: they do madeleines, get the big madeleine with pistachio covers and jam inside!
- Dorner Freres: get the big strawberry cake there.
- Miette: great bread
- Boulangerie les Co'pains D'antan has good croissants
Extra:
- Les Eclaireurs Pâtissiers: I haven't tried this place but I really want to.
