Either use this:
Instead of re-marshaling and re-unmarshaling on line 53 you could modify this to first unmarshal to
json.RawMessage
and then unmarshal that once you've determined the type. Should have a modest performance increase.
or use a function-scoped type alias to lean on the default struct decoder like in this article
